Mathew McCullagh

Mathew McCullagh, principal of Touch Residential, was born and raised in Moreton Bay, has lived in the region his whole life and proudly calls Griffin home. Before real estate he spent 15 years working across human resources and customer service, building an understanding of people, communication and service that would ultimately shape his approach to property. Now in his 14th year in real estate, Mathew founded Touch Residential in 2016 with a vision to create a more personal, service-focused agency. Nearly a decade later, he leads a team of eight and remains involved across all areas of the business. He holds a full real estate licence and a Certificate IV in Business.

For Mathew, one of the greatest rewards of real estate is guiding buyers through the journey, from nervous first-home buyers to experienced investors. He loves helping people navigate the process, connecting buyers with homes they genuinely love and, most of all, making the phone call to say, "Your offer has been accepted". Hearing the excitement on the other end of the phone never gets old. It is the people and the variety that have kept him passionate about the industry. One day he might be selling and negotiating homes, the next mentoring a team member or celebrating a win with the property management team. In an industry that never stands still, he loves continuing to learn, adapt and find better ways of doing things.

More than five years ago, Mathew and his family chose Griffin as their home, and he knew almost immediately it was the community where he wanted to build Touch Residential. Building the business alongside his wife Shelley, while raising their three children, has made that journey even more meaningful. Then there is Ducky, the much-loved Touch Residential team mascot and firm staff favourite. Away from real estate, Mathew is an avid Broncos and Lions member, and family weekends often revolve around the footy. He also loves his music and investing. If he is not watching a game or listening to music, there is a good chance he is studying stock charts, researching companies or learning more about the markets. That passion complements his lifelong interest in property and investing for the future.
